Our History
The Executive Director Mrs Angela Ekure is a Journalist Cum Mass Communicator with a passion to help physically challenged people in the society by contributing her own quota to the development of the society and give people with special needs an added advantage in their quest to live beyond their disabilities. She’s been optically challenged for over 30 years; this didn’t deter her quest for knowledge and education – culminating in the bagging of a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Mass Communication Second Class from Delta State University Abraka in 2006.
She is currently a Principal Producer in Delta Broadcasting Service, Asaba; handling a television programme “Ability in Disability” and an Inspirational Radio Programme “Hope Dey” amongst others to challenge the society and people with special needs to reach their highest potentials in life. Her programs have helped her identify special people in the society with special needs (Educational Skill Acquisition and Empowerment) resulting in the dream of this NGO as it cuts across the South-South and South-East and Geopolitical Regions of Nigeria.
Before its conception and establishment, the Executive Director has personally helped special people go back to school; write BECE/SSCE Exams and supported a few in the quest for university education. Her programs on radio and Television have inspired special people to get married and live meaningful lives in the society. Presently the Foundation is sponsoring Mr. Monday Oghonua, an optically challenged drop out back to school. He has completed his BECE and is now in SS1 at Unity Model School Agbarho, Delta State. Three additional students have been identified who need sponsorship in various classes in the same school.
The Foundation is a Non-Profit, Non-Governmental Organization. Registered in Nigeria CAC/IT/NO 150237 Established 20th August, 2020.
